First Strides

First Strides is an introductory program offered to skaters of all ages and skill levels. This program isn’t just for speed skating, however it is geared towards any sport. High Performance

Our High Performance Program prepares athletes to compete at high level competitions. These athletes go on to represent our club at events such as Canada Cup, Canadian Junior, Canada Winter Games and BC Winter Games to name a few

Special Olympics

Designed with children, youth, and adults with special abilities our Special Olympics program included these athletes as part of our Learn to Speed Skate Program. Some of these athletes also are allowed to participate in our HP program for extra training if they are excellent skaters. 

Coaches & Officials

Our coaches are certified through the Canadian Coaching Association in partnership with Speed Skating Canada. Typically coaches begin as Fundamental Leaders and work their way up to Competition Coaches (High Performance) 

Our Officials are certified through Speed Skating BC (both Levels 1 and 2). Speed Skating Canada certifies officials beyond Level 3 and up (national) and ISU for any International Officials
